Horse trailer theft remains a concern across rural and equestrian communities. Please take a few simple steps to help protect your trailer:

• Always lock your trailer with a quality hitch lock and wheel clamp when not in use.
• Park in a secure, well-lit area where possible.
• Fit a tracking device and consider CCTV coverage.
• Record the trailer’s make, model, serial number, and take clear photographs.
• Mark your trailer with a forensic security marking product or unique identifier.
• Check security regularly, especially before events and competitions.
